Yeah adblockers and element blockers already do what anti virus software does or come packaged with but better. Anything else you can just block at router level. All they really are good for is scanning and more then often, they suck at that too as they break more shit than fix. I recently downloaded Malwarebytes because I haven't used since I got my new PC more than a year ago. Found no issues after scanning but shit broke my drivers the day I installed it. Had no problems with the PC since I built it and it was the only thing I installed the day it happened.
One thing I've noticed too is they've all gotten more annoying lately, not just Malwarebytes. Fucking random popups you can't turn off wanting you to pay for their service multiple times a day. Some of them don't even give you the option to close and have to wait it out. Its no wonder people stop using these things.
