Usually you can find the unaltered steam rip of the game on cs.rin.ru, make sure it's some dude with 2894398498321 posts, or if you don't trust that then you can just download the game off steam and then refund it.

that's a good way to do it but if you do it too often you might get a ban for a few months from support
if you really like the game you might just not refund it and use the files anyway to play it without steam running

I finally defeated the Windows Defender menace. All it took was going into safe mode, opening up the folder where msmpeng exe is located, take ownership of it and full control rights, rename it to exe . old, and then restart your PC. No more pajeet overwatch on you PC. Get fucked Microsoft.

especially useful for programs that are not signed due to the dev not having the money to do it

And you don't even crack it, the MAS script gives you a legit license (that can and will be tied to your MS account). It works by tricking the OS into thinking you just upgraded from the previous version, so it generates a new valid license. MS doesn't care because 95% of their money comes from corporate clients, and all you're doing is just removing a watermark anyway.

Yeah adblockers and element blockers already do what anti virus software does or come packaged with but better. Anything else you can just block at router level. All they really are good for is scanning and more then often, they suck at that too as they break more shit than fix. I recently downloaded Malwarebytes because I haven't used since I got my new PC more than a year ago. Found no issues after scanning but shit broke my drivers the day I installed it. Had no problems with the PC since I built it and it was the only thing I installed the day it happened.

One thing I've noticed too is they've all gotten more annoying lately, not just Malwarebytes. Fucking random popups you can't turn off wanting you to pay for their service multiple times a day. Some of them don't even give you the option to close and have to wait it out. Its no wonder people stop using these things.
