Are you asking why they're nostalgiatrannies? My guess is they can't even run the new version, and so they cope by saying it's not worth playing.

It's not. There are usually people on both sides of the argument on /v/. The same goes for movies, btw.
There are always things that are better and things that are worse compared to the original. So in the end, what matters is whether the things that matter to you got better or worse overall and what matters varies by person.

Games are speculative and speculators usually only pay attention for a limited timespan, so shills will flood the discourse for 2-4 weeks on release.

You dodged my question. I'm adding this thread to the 99% auto filtered shitskin NPC section of the board. Assume it's a bluff. Feel free to abandon thread as well, because it stays at 99%.

at every level from casual consumer to active developers: gamers are shit eaters that get run over by anyone and everyone that tries with no resistance. spineless men that yield at the first sign of confrontation and welcome trojan horses with open arms and vows of support. the OP analogy could've used sports, too. every other niche has enough testosterone to reject unwelcome outsiders and people that want to subvert and undermine the hobby. it's always been this way and always will because of the core people that gaming attracts.
