I can't hate this game. It literally came out more than a decade ago. Indies were still a niche thing, we weren't as cynical about retro revivalism and the concept of a game that just celebrated gaming as a whole was pretty innovative.
I realize this sounds like cope but I'm of the mind that there are certain "eras" to indie gaming and Evoland feels like it belongs to an era wholly unlike what we see being uploaded to Steam now.
