This would actually be pretty neat. Change the sword fighting mechanics a bit to mimic old western sword fighting styles, archery would be similar but could use long bows and arcing shots for long range.

Imagine the kino of first you're just a crusader participating in warfare and slaughter then halfway trough (mabye like in rdr2, never actually played that game so idk) you get leprosy and join st.Lazarus knights and towards the end when it's clear that crusades are failing you end up defending and helping Christian pilgrims escape to Europe

I think I want these types of games to be extinct. They were never good then nor now. Same goes for other slop genres.

I can't wait to kill myself with boredom by fighting the same guys and collecting meaningless items.

I'll make something like this in a few decades.
It will take place around the middle of the 16th century when guns were getting properly introduce and more in use.

You will be able to choose between just doing direct combat as a knight or sneak around and just kill people, but you need to always wear the right time of equipment based on the playstyle you want to go by because stuff like plate and chainmail make a lot of sound when you move around, so you can't exactly be sneaky with. At best you might be able to get a surprise attack on them before entering proper combat.
