Uma Musume is perfect for the modern gaming audience. It's an easy to learn roguelike with attractive characters that puts out spurts of dopamine during races when your Uma pulls out a come from behind victory. Despite being a game about anime horse girls, it's surprisingly clean. They don't shove their chest, ass and feet into your face like the vast majority of gacha games with female characters. This makes it approachable to the normie audience. You have to resort to AI slop for umamusume lewds.

Is it FotM? Absolutely, it will have the same legs that Genshin had during 1.0 to 1.2. Keep in mind that Umamusume is an Cygames IP, and they're known to being very fucking stingy with currency. After everyone blows their load for the new support card, everyone will be fucking broke stuck with the same trainees for the next 8 months before you gather enough currency to actually roll again.

Blue Archive is bribing its players to leave positive reviews, which is a violation of Steam's policy and they still aren't as positive as Umamusume's kek

I've only seen so much gameplay but it looks like it's all just menus, endless pop ups, and animations you just mindlessly watch.

Umamusume has a more unique premise, presentation and gameplay than your average gachaslop autobattler (Blue Archive) or mihoyoslop open world games that keep flooding the market. It's unique and charming enough to get the streamers to play it. It also has the benefit of being the newer game (global version at least) while Blue Archive has been out for years and anyone who wanted to play it probably already has. Also, BA being delayed to after Uma's release and popularity spike probably didn't help it.

The numbers will definitely dwindle with time, especially when the normies discover the grind and rng heavy endgame loop. Also depends how jewish Cygames is with this one.
