none of them. they are all good, and groundbreaking.
it's the mindless copying drones taking the aesthetics of these without understanding what made them good that fucked the genre

Saying Sailor Moon ruined the genre is like saying Dragon Ball or Gundam ruined their genres, a brainless take. The genres would be unrecognizable without them. What impact did Cardcaptor Sakura really have? It was popular but that's it. I guess Madoka by default because of its edgy imitators and appeal to people who think they're above "ordinary" magical girl anime but wouldn't say it ruined the genre. If there's a problem, it's that PreCure is the only real name in the game anymore.

I blame Pretty Cure. Toei made 22 series so far. You can't simply compete with the machine.

I'd argue it getting popular when Sailor Moon was at the tail end of its popularity helped keep the genre from turning into stale tokusatsu clone ripoffs. It gave future shows confidence they could form their own identities, which lasted until Precure started to completely dominate the market.

Child sexy dancing should be more common in children's anime.
