My big beef is that it's a pain to unequip it from units without using another unit to run up to them and trade
And if you don't do that pain-in-the-ass jiggling then you'll lose half your charges to Enemy Turn
So 20 charge weapons are often more of a pain in the ass to use than something actually desirable
This is part of why FEGBA Swordmasters (and Jaffar) are so good even when the units usually aren't

I want to be very clear that IS, despite their name, is NOT a smart company. If they were smart, then they wouldn't have made Engage because Heroes already does what it set out to do. What IS should have done is continue the Echoes series by creating the Jugdral remake.

If they had learned their mistake from SoV where they kept the old game's mechanics almost entirely 1:1, further polished Fates' core mechanics, introduced a Holy Blood system similar to Crests, maintained the serious tone of both FE4 and Houses, reintroduced eugenics because of the time-skip, and saved 776 Echoes as downloadable content, they would have made bank. This is non-negotiable.

Then, they could have used that earned money to put back into "fixing" Houses' numerous flaws that make it "not a FE game", updating the graphics so everything isn't muddy, correcting terrible story beats and scripts, and made even MORE money from that re-release. That would've given the company enough money and time to go into a new setting.

Ideally, though, it would still take place in the same world as Houses, but visiting everywhere but Fodlan: Sreng, Almyra, Dagda, Brigid, etc. Keep the setting familiar, but new and different at the same time.

IS should pay me for my ideas, but they don't have the money to do so because of how badly they dropped the ball!!

Madeline is kinda like Panette in the 'all-in on STR' sense, but I made good use of her despite her lacking SKL/SPD. Say what you will about Engage's character design, its art style, or whatever design choices you want to grumble about, but visually it is one of the best looking games on the Switch. It does not look like what most people would consider a generic Unity game. People that whine about game engines often have zero idea of what they're talking about. Nobody would know Engage was a Unity game unless people dug up the information proving it to be one. Most people still aren't aware, nor do they care, and why should they? It performs and runs much better than say Three Houses, and is doing a lot more graphically, as well as great animations too.
