Couldn't get into oblivion remastered. The main problem is how ridiculously fast you level now, it totally defeats exploration of the game. I started out as a mage and leveled so insanely fast by just playing the game normally that there was no reason to ever explore because I just outscaled everything so quickly there was no point. Also, they never fixed conjurations scaling, so I can't even use them. I play on master difficulty because otherwise the game is too piss easy, but conjurations scale with difficulty so your conjuration turns into a raid boss, so unless you want to feel like you are cheating you can't even use any conjurations.

That being said.....I might start a new game as a paladin in VR and shovel a bunch of ketamine up my nose so I'm so loopy there is some semblance of a challenge

No it didn't, it made it infinitely easier. You now level up with any skill ups not just major, so you literally level up 2x as fast. In addition, since you don't have to cheese endurance in the beginning of the game, it's even FASTER. How could you have ever played original oblivion and thought that the remaster was harder to level up? There is no circumstance where this would be true.

It's that weird transition between Morrowind and Skyrim where a lot was opened up due to radiant AI and routines, but before the gameplay was taken out.
