I've played 3, Zero, 5, and 7. This entire franchise is too easy. It's fine that it's arcadey, but even arcade games should have depth. The game corrects for its simplistic flying mechanics by just making AI fly straight for no reason every few turns, so you are allowed to get free hit enemies who could easily turn inside you.

Use the shitty starter planes then if you want real challenge. no one forced you to use f22.

if you want a plane sim then go play something else nigger, ace combat is prefectly fine as it is

I played on the hardest difficulty for every game and beat each of them with a single digit loss count. As long as you aren't going straight on with a missile or are more than 45 degrees off its flight path, you just don't really get hit.

these games are clearly beneath someone as smart as you

3 is the only game that tried to have a somewhat indepth flight model, but they dropped it after 4 and then remade ac2 for almost a decade before ruining the series further by adding high G turns.

I mean you say that but a lot of people complain about 7 of all things being difficult, a good percentage of people don't have the brains for flight mechanics the same way they don't have the brains for tank controls
I find these games pretty easy too and I'd like them to be harder, but I'll settle for just not going back to the days of DFM, plane-on-rails simplicity if it keeps being fun
