Why is this game so horny? I don't remember baldurs gate 2 having this much fucking, sucking, writhing squirming things going inside me or bdsm priests. I just started playing and already about 5-6 sexual things have happened to my character, and everyone talks to me like they're really happy to see me.

His eating progresses based on how much his approval of you rises. He will eat like 2-3 items and then he'll stop. When he tells you it's no longer working he'll stop and you won't have to worry about running out of time anymore.
I actually don't know what happens if you don't feed him those 2-3 items.

The 3 items I usually feed him is the bard hat in the druid Grove, which is in the chest next to the thiefling playing on a lute.
Second is the spear you get in the underground dungeon that's east on the map to the druid Grove. And the third one is the ring you get in a harpy nest at the beach next to the druid Grove.

This is why you need to get in to habbit to play dirty yourself in the game. for example if you know you're going to go I to a fight make your group in sneak mode and send your tank in by himself. You can then use your characters in sneak mode to get advantage on their first attack. It helps a lot.

Oof.... light is actually pretty much needed in act 2 when you go through the shadow land so make sure shadowheart learns the cantrp. However there is a ring in the underdark tower that you can reach before getting to act 2 that casts light as well. The last alternative is to have a torch but that means you'll lose the ability to wield 2h weapons for that time.

I spent a few minutes trying to recall anything sex related that you can accidentally opt into and they are very mild, one is a minor spoiler about karlach, one is a mysterious tentacle monster being starved for human contact in act 3 and one is just astarion being a fag in a comical astarion-like way. But then on Persuasion/Intimidation+2+3+1+1d4 check I get hit with a critical failure. So plenty of encounters start with an enemy ambush. Alert is a good trait, you can always tell when an ambush is coming because your party fails 4x perception checks. The situations where you actually get ambushed and only Alert saves you are slim to none.

Although it sounds like you may not be talking about an actual "ambush" meaning your party gets suprised and loses a turn, in that case yeah its gay you always gotta save before talking to anyone cuz they might just all aggro on you after talking to them, but anyone who plays games like these should be quicksaving every fucking chance they get even if they arent planning on savescumming

Yeah, I do spam quicksaves. Again, I'm just reluctant to attack yellow NPCs, before they attack me. And when they do, it's too late for me to try and surprise them. Moreover, my character, a Sorc, often starts at the front line, close to the enemy I just talked to. But, again, it's not too too bad so far. Not on normal difficulty. So I try not to savescum too much, when it's not necessary. Mainly, I just don't like how when combat starts, my party, who's all gathered together, gets spammed by all kinds of grenade items, instead of enemies just using their abilities and rolling the dice to attack me.
