During story mode, you pick which cards to equip. These cards have different abilities, skills, and effects.
You get a set number of turns before a mandatory race.
During these turns, you choose which stat to level. However, bonus events or debuffs may appear that you need to deal with. Each action takes one turn.
Once you complete story mode, you get a copy of that Uma with the results of your choices and the skills you gained during your run. This Uma can be used for PvP or to complete other events.
If you had a bad run, you can run story mode again and choose better paths depending on the events you get.
That's basically the gameplay loop. It goes much deeper than that, obviously, but that's the core of it.
