It's not the console itself IMO, because it feels the same as the Switch just better. But I feel that ever since Mario Wonder and TotK, and now MK World, we're seeing a trend of a Nintendo that feels more sort of, uncharmingly boisterous and "commercialized".

Like, everybody's talking about how "amazing" the OST is in MKW but I just hear a lot of over-produced slop versions of songs from every Mario game ever made before. Mario Wonder was just forced SOVL, and TotK was them trying to classicize the BotW format with more "epic & edgy" story, and an overwrought take on narrative that still really sucks in that unique BotW suckiness.

It just feels like Nintendo is "trying too hard" now, when their games used to be charming.
