It's just fallout 3 again with a better writer. What people don't want to admit that it's just an 8/10 game to Fallout 3's 7/10. It is not much better and it's far from one of the best games ever made.

You can actually role play. Remember all those images of take your post number and base a character off that? Way harder to do that with 3 and 4 from an rp perspective. Imo.

Because FO3 was the first game in the series, I was willing to forgive a lot of its flaws. It was an experiment, and the experiment was more or less successful. They just needed to flesh it out more, increase the RPG elements, and invest more in the writing.
F:NV was more fleshed out, had increased RPG elements, and invested more in the writing.

I just got to the cabin and I was laughing my ass off at the dialog while shooting the ceiling hoping it to stop. Then to look at the ceiling and pick a speech. But before that it felt like Fallout with how the world was designed, lore dumps, and shit to do.

It's not that NV is good, it's really that 3 and 4 are bad. Bethesda is actually really bad at designing games, and they have clearly been coasting off of other people's ideas for a while now. I hope that Starfield was a reality check for them.

The "writing" in this mod is just rick and morty. Fallout 3's writing was perfect. It had soul and emotional immersion. The only complaint you poopjeets ever give is that Fawkes's choice not to turn on the purifier wasn't logical, even though it's not supposed to be and he explains exactly why he did it. Oh and the other thing. The world in NV felt less on-rails than 4 or 5. Like you could go off and do whatever faction you wanted and it felt like there were several others games taking place you had no part in. 3 and 4 felt smaller and more contained.

A complex well written storyline that isn't so black and white hurr durr defeat the main bad guy win the game like FO3/FO4.

No one side is the best for the Nevada each faction has its pros and cons when they take over. in b4 independent ending is best ending fags, no that retarded Vegas won't progress as a civilization compared to House or NCR or hell even Ceasar's legion

I couldn't even bother finishing it once. I dropped it when I got to the strip and the legion forgave me. The game doesn't even pretend to give consequences to your actions. The skill "checks" are also atrociously designed to prevent any friction for the player. All that along with the open world quest marker/fast travel crap and shitty combat just makes it another bethestard game at the end of the day.
