what mechanic do you want to see in a adventure video game that is rare or never used before?
I had this idea where you put a campfire and you can teleport back to the previous campfires but you can only make 5 campfires, if you try to make a sixth campfire, the first campfire will disappear

That's not rare and it's from World of Warcraft. It's something the Vulpera can do.

Also, it sounds like Dark Souls, where you can teleport to the last bonfire.

Have you played Lords of the Fallen?

It's not rare or never done before but I love games with time-travel. It's something I'm excited to play Code Vein 2 for.

It pleases me whenever it's done and brings me back to my first experience with Zelda OOT.

Seeing areas in their prime and then seeing them decrepit, overgrown, ruined or twisted into something worse.

Being able to hire your own mobile support team to do menial busywork you're not interested in. Also doubles as the fast travel system at the risk of being waylayed by hostiles depending on how far you are from your chosen destination.
