This. I rented it on release, got filtered by the absolute dogshit opening sequence, and once I tried it again 15 years later I was disappointed that I was correct the first time. The novelty wears off and the story is horrendously juvenile, Twilight tier YA slop

but not only was it never iterated upon (outside dishonored at most)

There's a lot of garbage and average games that have been lost to the sands of times but yeah there are way more bangers in the past than in recent years.
