I stopped playing once I got sick of the third act, which was not far into it. 2nd act wasn't long enough.

I liked the game jam game it was based on. Don't care for the meta ARG shit, even if thats the devs go to.

I enjoyed it but I was disappointed we didn't get full explorations of the magic and bone systems. I know it'd be asking a lot and it might kill the pacing but the switching from one card game to the next and having to learn the new rules was the most fun part of it for me. The plot stuff was decent but it's not really memorable to me.

I'm not that good, I'm just surprised that as soon as I solved like 2 puzzles in the cabin I was able to do 4 more to get cards that were way stronger than anything else in my deck. I got the impression I was supposed to unlock those cards over time and not after playing 2 games.

IIRC one of the puzzles just lets you brute force it to unlock a lot of cards and maybe that was my problem.

I was hoping the last third would pick things up again but it decided to focus on le creepypasta man gets killed by government for finding the Hitler floppy disc instead

Leshy had the best game and it's not even close.
I did like the 2nd act, but it was way too short. The only battle you could repeat was the fight against the dummy.

It had more potential than it lived up to, especially on the character/story side of things. But yeah I liked it.

I wish there was a way to combine Leshy's and P03's games. Leshy's format was better, but P03 managed to implement a bit more mechanics. I wish we had the full potential of Phase 2 in Leshy's game.
Wizard dude had the shittiest mechanic. I made the mistake of picking his deck, and it sucked ass until I could customize it a bit more. 4 slots is way too few to make him anything resembling useful.

It's great. The meta narrative is okay, it felt to me it was mainly just there to change between acts. I like how each act changes the gameplay a bit and you get the roguelite after the story is over so you can focus on the card game itself.

I appreciate Kaycee's Mod for giving me a lot more mileage out of this game. Expanding Leshy's set worked great. Managed to beat everything, except the all bear boss challenge.

I know that saying act 1 was the best and it'd be better if it was longer is a basic bitch take but I really think its just the truth, Kaycee's mod doesn't cut it, the game should have just expanded a fuckton in that first act's gameplay and atmosphere, its so good

Keep in mind it's a cartoon, I'm not attracted to a real life stoat, but yeah the stoat drawing is hot. I don't think a fetish can be explained rationally overall, but his scornful personality helps. Maypul from Rivals of Aether is a pretty good example of a character who is practically feral but i find hot. she can talk. In contrast, the orca character Orcane I don't find hot at all, it just makes animal noises and it never tries to stand upright or act like a person the way Maypul can.

Made me realize how much I want a singleplayer CCG adventure akin to Shandalar. Act 2 is garbage, yes, but actually making a deck to handle specific challenges and obtaining new cards as a reward is neat.

Having some hack story with the letsplayer and having whatever arg bullshit with tying it to some shitty 'universe' really set the game back.
Should have just been act 1 extended into a larger sequence but with a simpler story based off of escaping and setting the captured souls free

I legitimately only got this game on discount to play a specific mod for it.
