I'm really sick of people pretending Biohazard 4 is "only cheesy fun." It easily has the best story after the original game, and Leon's portrayal him in a very efficient and empathetic manner. He's handling an extremely delicate hostage situation in the best possible he can, and his dialogue isn't unrealistic it at all. He shows genuine grief at the death's of Luis and Mike, and even gives hints of regret of having to kill Krauser.
It's a well written horror thriller with excellent pacing, and a good plot. On top of that it's an excellent game in its own right. It sucks that irony poisoned normalfags can't appreciate it for all its worth, and it's frustrating trying to express praise for these merits and being met with derision and contempt because people refuse to accept that most things that are good are UNIRONICALLY good, rather than "ironically good."

RE1 and RE4 are the best games in the series and they are cheesy as fuck. The only difference is that RE1 was unintentionally cheesy by having bad writing and RE4 was intentionally cheesy by having good writing.

Most people that shit on RE4 have never even played the original trilogy, but since someone said "oh nooo re4 made re more action focused it was the start of re's downfall" they started parroting it to feel le hecking special and so retro!!!
It's really fucking tragic.

Go eat an anus you niggercock gargling faggot. You're the exact type of braindead normalfag that's incapable of thinking for himself that perpetuates these irony poisoned views because you don't have an ounce of sincerity in your heart. Neither game is cheesy, intentionally or otherwise. Biohazard 1 in particular is extremely well written, and handles the idea of zombies via a viral outbreak in an very realistic way. It's very much (and very intentionally) hard Sci-Fi, and is structured like a Michael Chrichton novel in its pacing.
