P5 came out in a golden time in the years before covid when anime/otaku culture was mainstream enough to get high budget stuff but hadn't hit critical mass with normalfags to where having overt loli pandering in some big game like this would cause controversy. They are way more subtle with it nowadays.
Actually, the entire Persona series itself is pretty "problematic" in hindsight which is probably why they are so hesitant to work on a future game. It would be completely butchered of all the anime tropes it's known for in the modern climate.
