>buy a gaming mouse
>it works beautifully for a couple of months
>one of the best mouses I've ever owned
>new version of the mouse gets released

Very subtle, Razer, bravo.

What the fuck makes this a "gaming mouse"? The RGB light up logo? Having two buttons on the side? Absolutely fucking retarded lol
Anonymous No.715100475 [Report]
>>715100289
The mouse only has one RGB light which is on the bottom and indicates which DPI mode you are in.
The sensor is what makes this a gaming mouse.

I have a onld Razer too, it has never faulted even just once. It's a great brand, apart from new versions of some of their stuff that get worse than old versions (thinking about their headsets for instance). It's a bit expensive but you get a quality product.
Maybe it's the Synapse thing that has to make an update.

I had mouse issues only for it to end up being my mousepad. Spilled too much milk and juice on it.

i have giant hands so i am kinda stuck with the deathadder
Anonymous No.715101364 [Report] >>715102109
>>715100739
Yeah, it probably has something to do with synapse and some driver bs, just funny that it started doing this the exact day when a newer version of the mouse was released.
If it is some sort of driver update bs, I'd like for it not to happen during a competitive match.
>>715100895
That mousepad sounds rank.
>>715101142
I have smaller hands but the deathadder still feels great in my hand and is so precise, it would be a shame if this ends up becoming a recurring problem

if your mouse choice isn't based on rtings.com latency tests you're doing something wrong

You guys do see the wire on the picture, don't you?
A wired device can still disconnect but that is usually a sign of something being wrong either on the driver or hardware level.

I most likely will if this keeps happening, but it's always such a hassle and 90% of the time they just end up sending you another lemon.

Devices should only update when not in active use, even with auto updates.

There's zero chance you have had a Razer mouse that has functioned perfectly for 16 years, unless you only use it like once for 5 minutes every month.

Manufacturing defects aren't a thing, no sirree, everyone that has problems with their peripherals pours coke on them, throws them at walls and bangs on them relentlessly.
Any and all problems are ALWAYS the fault of the user, the devices are flawless.

Still have my G502 wireless, bought it 4-5 years ago. No double clic, never felt any latency and the battery is still going strong (recharging once per week?). No issue at all.
The software (g-hub) is a bit shit and clunky, but at least the profiles per games work.
It'll be a terrible day when I start having issues.

Once you find a mouse you really like and want to stick with, you should invest like 20-30 bucks into a pinecil soldering iron so you can switch out components if necessary.

They bring out some pretty decent products every now and again, the wired deathadders are pretty great value for money for example and their analog huntsmans aren't half bad either even though they are way overpriced.

I'd really be afraid to ruin it further, but if I'm at this point where I have to use it because of issues, yeah why not, that's a good advice.
I fixed the drift of my switch pro controller by opening it instead of buying a new one (too expensive)
Anonymous No.715106991 [Report]
>>715106245
Trust me, most mice are so simple that switching out the switches for example is childs play, just 2 pads that you gotta first clear of solder, remove the switch, insert new switch and resolder.
The biggest issue usually comes in the disassembling phase because some mice (like the g502) have a shell that is partly held in place by plastic clips that end up cracking if you're not careful and use some sort of a gentle prying tool.
All in all, a good soldering iron and some soldering skills are a great investment no matter what.
