Same. I fucking bought TotK day one in the morning and had rest of the week out of the work. By second dungeon I let the game off. I hated the building and constant menuing.

I haven't seen any noticeable dips in framerate but the dynamic resolution can be unstable, sometimes the game forgets it's supposed to be 1440p for a second.

I still think it's a very basic game, but as they say, "Keep it simple, stupid". I do think there's magic in the simplicity of a game just being about traveling in itself. But when it comes to the actual content and level design I think the game is often very barren and so simple it makes me go "...that's it?" especially the story, dungeons and bosses. So in that regard it's no masterpiece to me.

uhhh but we added the ability to waste 2+ minutes building an object that will be useful for 5 seconds, it's NOT the same game as BotW

I play good games. It was the only game I bothered to set up emulation for in a decade because everyone online busted by balls calling it a masterpiece and I fell for it.

Too many issues for it to be considered among the best, but it's a really good game.
I loved both BotW and TotK. BotW probably a bit more since it felt new at the time.
I do hope the next mainline Zelda game is different. I don't want them to go back to LttP/OoT formula, but I want this open world stuff to change at least.

no
Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle. I rather replay a link to the past for the 100th time instead of playing this shit

it only needed to have a new map and new music. then it would have been a great game. it really feels like you're doing a second playthrough of botw.
