I play the metal slug games at least a few times every other year but I still don't know if the fat mechanics actually does something besides slightly changing how the projectiles look, and i think act too?

Sans actually releasing 12, SE is going to have to remake/remaster to keep the franchise alive in the public eye everywhere outside Japan that or more spin-offs nobody asked for. Wouldn't surprise me if we get a Builders 3 announcement at a Nintendo Direct one day or something.

This is funny to me because I remember seeing the demo of one of these at an arcade when I was 12, and in it one of the girls gets shot with a syringe gun and turns into a monkey. Based picks. 3 is peak arcade perfection, 5 has the best flow and movement, and Advance is criminally underrated-it legit feels like its own weird timeline with all the unique sprites and new characters. Bonus points to X for being the "oops all recycled assets but still awesome" edition.
