Journos will run a lot of clickbait fake outrage articles about Nintendo but they absolutely tongue their asses in reviews. Especially for big games like a new Mario Kart. So yes, an 86 MC is a bit of a failure.

I think Bananaza is guaranteed 93+ MC with a good shot of being north of 95 though, and likely the highest MC score this year
