You're supposed to see that we discarded superior tech (CRT) for this garbage because normies wanted cheaper and flatter screens, and now we're stuck with it.

IPS is disgusting.
OLED at 240hz is almost as good as CRT

they look the same because the people who tested it are retards and used a youtube video instead of loading the test for real

It's supposed to look like the left column, the reference image. Notice how all the detail in all the other images is blurred out? (the alien's eyeballs, the little white dots on his ship etc)
That's what happens to your fancy "4K" image when it moves, literally all the detail disappears.

Modern screens are absolute garbage for video games.

I can't believe we had the solution 30 years ago, Plasma. And everybody chose LCD instead.
It's taken people 30 years to notice that modern screens have motion blur.
Unreal.

Handhelds were always LCD, even in the 90s

Trips but it wasnt us. LCDs were super fucking expensive, but they were cheaper to EXPORT and IMPORT because of the weight and size. One 30" CRT could probably replace six 23" LCDs

How did they do this test without the Switch 2 having a web browser?

I'd rather have ghosting instead of having pixels that are only displaying things for less than 5% of the frame. The same reason I hate backlight strobing on a lot of gamer LCDs. That shit is extremely visible if you don't actually have dogshit eyesight and migraine inducing. The true superior tech was plasma displays.

Retard
Crts only look better with this test because modern monitors aren't pushing themselves to give you imperceptible gains
It's 60hz, you don't need response times anywhere near what crts do, you have a 16.67ms timeframe
OLED with black frame insertion at 120hz looks just as good

480hz OLED is actually as good motion clarity wise as CRT even without BFI. And you can easily get monitors that fast these days.

you don't get it
CRTroons are upset because OLEDs don't have the pointlessly overkill motion clarity at 60hz
they don't actually understand that it doesn't mean shit when you're still massively over the 60hz compliant response times, they want their placebo

You're not seeing the blur at 60hz on a non crt unless it has outright atrocious response times like the switch 2 screen
Crts are just wasting power to show you something you physically cannot benefit from

4k 480hz oled seems like it'd be endgame for monitors
More refresh rate is not really perceivable and more resolution requires an unhealthy viewing distance
