it'd be both impressive and tragic if those speedrunning events eventually stopped being cringe one day. It would be an improvement on their scene, but no more funny absured moments..

GDQ is usually a nothing burger these days. You'd think rounding up a bunch of sweaty awkward gamers in a room to gawk at video games would be funny but no, its just really boring.
Unless its a game that actually gels with speedrunning, like a racing game or a game with a bunch of glitches and exploits, theres nothing remarkable about GDQs besides the random cryptid that pokes their head in and fools themselves infront of the camera.
