Normies always want these big live service games to conform to their vision, them they're run by such moneylusting corporations that they need to pander to everyone in order to succeed. So naturally they're hodgepodges of goofy and serious, casual and hardcore, and it ends up satisfying nobody. But the power of marketing is that they keep playing it anyway rather than play something niche that gives them the experience they claim to want.
