Searching for things fucking sucks ass now. It's so bad. I don't know what google did to their own platform and to youtube but it shows me less things that I'm searching for every day.
The other day I was looking for a pretty popular garage kit channel, but I didn't fully remember the channel name, but I know the name of a kit he did. Some vtuber and the video has 2m views. I search "shishiro botan garage kit", a partial title of the 2m view video I'm looking for.
What do I get? One completely unrelated channel doing doing the kit with about 400 views, some completely unrelated garage kits also with a few hundred views, and a gorillion youtube shorts and clips of said vtuber.
It's fucking infuriating how hard I have to search these days to find anything I'm looking for. I don't have history or tracking on, but I've replicated this in multiple different browsers and this video doesn't fucking show up under that search and I'm going to lose my mind.

Try it yourself and see how far you have to dig to find this video. After finding it I even searched the entire english name, still nothing.

Yeah YouTube algorithm had a shift from pushing the biggest and most popular channels every time to instead trying to push the most recent stuff from small channels, so that the site can get more channels with multi-million subs. It doesn't care about you finding what you want, it only cares about increasing total subs across the site.
