good evening gentleman. this is my prototype controller, this is the the 3rd iteration. the V3 if you will. or the 3.0 blueprint. im looking for feedback how i culd improve this device. my aim is to create the perfect controller. i have reached this design using your suggestions but am attempting to upgrade this to a 4th model.

yes when i began work on this it was the idea of another anon here to add buttons and this was devloped further from the 2.0 to 3.0. my intent was to allow someone to theoretically play guitar hero on this control. it would not be ideal but it would be possible nontheless.

If we're doing accessories I think you could do one for the mouth as well? The tongue is a very flexible muscle, it could wrap around some cylinder-shaped addon easily to push and press at specific points. Actually you could make it sort of like an analog stick, with the user pushing it around in his mouth say to control the camera in a game. Combined with the pill unit you might even be able to play some games hands-free which has great upsides. I'd call it the Buccal Joystick (BJ for short) .

perhaps this is the way forward? i can remove the playstation ball. (im unsure what its purpose actually is i was under the impression it has a motion control function) my main concern is that to control a stick with your mouth on the top of the joystick you would need to have the device held up very close to your head, and this may create neck strain. for this reason im unsure if this has a place with the perfect controller. perhaps an extra large or XL model would work which is longer.

Here is my proposal: You've extended the shaft of the controller and that adds a bit of empty space that I believe would be suitable for a new, never-seen-before type of controls. I call it the pump. It would be held in your hand and with up and down motion you would pump, jounce or jerk it to simulate a motion which would give the developers the ability to implement new and inventive mechanics in games.

Perhaps this would be more of an elite style controller? marketed towards a user who is interested in luxury goods who would be more inclined to service the shaft of the controller? A sort of Rolex type consumer or the individual who might buy the newest iPhone. A MAC user perhaps. or the type of consumer who collects katanas. You know what I'm thinking? There'd probably be a decent amount of free space inside this controller. What if we let the user pour some sort of liquid in it - could be water, milk, a soft drink - and then after the user just finished a sweaty, thorough bossfight, the tip of the controller could dispense some of that liquid as a treat/reward to refresh them. Would go especially well with the 3.0B.

It’s a unique idea. I’m unsure if the presence of liquid near the controller is a good idea or not but perhaps there is a solution to this. If we removed the PlayStation orb and replaced that with a small bottle you could screw onto the top you could suck on some kind of nipple attatcjment like a bottle. Technically this bottle would be a small standalone unit and would only screw onto the controller minimizing any leakage issues. I do not imagine this holding more than 4 oz however.

This controller sucks. You aren't considering gamers who might be used to using their left hand on the shaft, which puts the second analog stick out of reach. You should re-design it to be ambidextrous, like the N64 controller was.
