I mean it's a matter of how deeply are you involved in a subject, we can look at a game for 10 seconds and instantly decide by vibes whether we think we'll like it or not, we've seen thousands of games, we can pick up on any slight clue to tell if it's gonna be something we like or not, but if it's a subject that you don't care too deeply about then you'll prefer a 10 minutes explanation over spending 2 decades to learn all the nuances, games are like this for us, and anime too for many people here including me, but what about furniture for example or what to plant in your garden, we're not deeply engaged with those subjects, we can't tell what furniture is good or crap at a glance, we'll watch a 10 minute video about it to decide what to get, while someone who's had 2 decades in home decoriation will say "lol why are you watching a 20 minute video about chairs, you can just tell by glance" yeah YOU can tell a chair by glance, I can't, I can tell a shit game at a glance, most people can't, so they watch a 10 minute video about it
