No retard, we just played. We didn't live in the age of streamfaggots who gave you the mindset that everything had to be optimized. We just made cool shit and dealt with problems as they came up. We used to do this thing with games; having fun instead of them being a second job.

You're not wrong, but it's a bit more complicated than that. Consoles didn't just ruin games-they shifted the entire design philosophy. Everything's gotta be cinematic, streamlined, and "accessible," which is code for dumbed down. Games used to have soul, now they're just market-tested slop with a photo mode.

autism games still exist plenty on PC. the truth is and always will be if you're a console only player you're a casual that doesn't actually like games and plebbit is more your speed. It's fine to have a console and game on it but if that's the only way you experience games you don't belong here.
