It's one of the worst Zelda games I've ever played.

Is it true that Zelda fucks Ganon in this game? Then, she even tells Link how bigger Ganon is compared to him? Yeah, I don’t think I’m buying this game

i didn't hate it, but it didn't give me the same feeling of accomplishment as other zelda games. feels more like a zelda themed romhack of something else

It's a bloated tech demo at the end of the day. The fact that the Plateau is the only area of the game that receives near-universal praise should key you into the problem with BoTW/ToTK: the scope of the overworld is simply too large.

I can nitpick things like a poor sense of progression / growth and lackluster combat, but I don't think those are fatal flaws for these games. If the world was more interesting to explore (i.e. more handcrafted areas / greater attention to detail) and wasted your time less often (less fucking travel), these games would be more engaging.
