TF2 had a "models as viewmodel" mode that they removed from the game (iirc). This was meant to be used when you played TF2 with a VR headset on, but you could use it at any time. It was a nifty novelty for a little while, but it gets in the way. I use minimal viewmodels and I completely toggle off viewmodels when I play Demoman because, even with minimal viewmodels, your launchers block so much of your screen when you're aiming upward to arc your shots.
