Women who like games have always liked JRPGs because they’re story focused, and usually about character melodrama and emotional stories.

At those times, they just followed what was trend for the mainstream audience and what got them attention, and videogames were not particularly massive outside the same group that has been gaming for decades. Everything changed after social media and twitch. Twitch became big and slowly but surely this "grl gamers" found a cheaper and easier way to slowly but surely prostitute themselves.
