Hmmm sounds like you gave it a fair shake, all I can say is realizing how I could drop half the tiles to set up chains completely changed the way I played the game and turned my 5-10 minute sessions into hour+. Maybe you can just play on the slower bar levels. But if it ain't for you that's alright
I recommend Tetris Grandmaster 4 on Steam. I don't know when it will be released for consoles.
The game is really good, holy shit.
And the Grand Master rules are way better than classic Tetris. The game is more interesting and enjoyable to play.
