Is there one guy that stands out? I would think it’s obvious that discussion of the game would end up with some remaster criticism. I wouldn’t tell someone to never ever play it, but if we’re being realistic here it does look worse.

It's the one thing that everyone who hates the FFX remaster complains about.
If it wasn't for this and the soundtrack change (that was thankfully made optional in the PS4 and later versions), it would probably be considered the definitive version of the game.

Remaster overall really is a good job. Tidus and Yunas faces are just surprisingly bad. I guess Square has an internal policy that every remaster has to have a harsh flaw or something, I don't know.
On PC I highly recommend the "refined" mod for them. Looks miles better and even somehow looks closer to the original face animations, even though those are only on PS2.

PS2 emulation is fine too I guess.
