Why were they afraid of having the unconscious npcs wake up after certain time at least on the harder difficulties? They had this until Contracts iirc and after that they are just basically same as dead. I guess you can technically knock out someone and they won't die if they don't wake up soon but they become brain dead so good luck.

The aftermath doesn't matter. You weren't seen and only the targets died

47 has a pretty solid plot armor in case he needs it because he can have infinity new identities and he can't be tracked etc in BM he can even massacre a whole level and if there are witnesses left he can just buy a new identity even tho that kind of playstyle isn't canon. Funnily enough if you kill everyone and leave zero witnesses, you gain no notoriety in the game because there's no one left to try to describe what you looked like.

how do i get into this franchise? i saw one of the new games on steam that was dirt cheap but there was a catch, it was divided in episodes. idk it just kinda pissed me off.

If you don't own any of the WoA games nowadays then I think you are supposed to buy Hitman 3 as in you get to buy the trilogy at once. Don't take just my word for I haven't checked in a while. If you now start buying the games separately I think you will get kind of fucked or miss something.

IOI have created the worst buying experience around, it's genuinely impressive, honestly.
Don't buy anything but Hitman World of Assassination. You can get a Hitman 3 CD key and that'll turn into WOA too, it's probably the cheapest option.
Don't get anything else. Ignore the 'episode' shit, ignore the 'part 1' shit all of that stuff is IOI being complete fucking retards who have no idea how to sell their game and basically scamming people who don't realise they are getting fucked.
If you really, really want 'basically everything' you can grab deluxe or get the 'Hitman 3: Hitman 2 pass' later to add the missing two levels.

>IOI have created the worst buying experience around
for sure. i genuinely cannot unravel this. it's like they dont want their games to sell.

so world of assassination is what, is it like like left 4 dead 2 that also cointains left 4 dead 1 chapters? except it's for all the hitman games that are instead bought inside of this one as dlc?
Anonymous No.715191986 >>715197279
Getting the games is pretty simple: you just buy hitman world of assassination deluxe edition
that comes with the trilogy and dlc
got the whole thing last month on sale for like $45

>Why were they afraid of having the unconscious npcs wake up after certain time at least on the harder difficulties?
They don't want you to have the option for people to wake up or have twin ballers because they hate you and me personally and don't want us to be happy because they're sadistic monsters.

it's 1, 2 and 3 combined into 1 game basically
the only maps that are DLC are the 2 that were DLC in hitman 2, if you want those you have to buy the deluxe

everything else on the store page is designed to scam you or it's just garbage that you don't need

The priest and journo were most probably just wrong place wrong time. The journo didn't know that the interview was going to be about 47, dunno if the priest was within the payroll of bad guys regardless of being unarmed. The postman in the same game might have also been just unlucky. It says code red in the mail and 47 then knows it means that the postman needs to die. The postman might not necessarily be an enemy spy but he could be a security leak I suppose.

in all fairness there are a lot of silly weapons and disguises, not too many but i can see how hitman autists in particular might not appreciate that
same thing with most of the levels being hoity toity upper crust locales (obviously not colorado, mumbai, chongching), obviously hitman should be able to kill the rich and powerful but it is a deviation from the established hitman ethos

That should be a score. I don't like how they removed suit retrieval bonus from the WOA trilogy.
And the weapon customization from blood money
And the buying upgrades
And the keeping the weapon you leave with
etc.

They know EXACTLY how to sell their game, all this stuff is way more complicated for them as well, you think they don't know how to list their game on Steam with an all-in-one purchase option? They do it on purpose in the hopes that people will blunder in uninformed and be tricked into paying twice for the same content. It's petty and evil and above all it is definitely intentional. Hell, just last month they made a big deal of giving away the 'Sapienza Edition' for free, quietly not mentioning that that's literally just a renamed demo and they weren't giving away anything at all.
