Ubisoft is the most bloated company ever. The fact they have barely laid off anyone since Assassin's Creed Shadows while Microsoft lays off people left and right is just more evidence that Shadows wasn't a flop.
That and the fact that Tencent invested in them. They didn't do that out of charity. They knew it did well and that the stock market undervalues Ubisoft.

Let me guess, you also think the Horizon games flopped cause "muh bundles" and you're gonna shit your pants when it turns out they're making a third one.

Literally the opposite. Units sold is the real worthless metric. A game that sold 5 copies at 60 bucks each is a bigger success than a game that sold 20 copies that were discounted to a buck.
>>715193156 (OP) >these are the top sellers of the year so far >A GTA game from a decade ago on the list
The ABSOLUTE STATE of gaming lmao. Imagine when MKWorld appear by the end of the year
>>715193323 >sell a lot >Somehow stocks are still low >company is partially bought by foreigners >studios closing and massive lay-offs >low player count despite the initial number >game wasn't as good as expected
How is that a success then?
We are in a Great Recession which will turn into a Great Depression within the end of the year. Consumer spending is crashing. The stock market is irrational. Can't depend on the government to make a decision and stick to it. AI is taking white collar jobs.
