How are you guys just now being impacted by this?

Ublock and 4chanx stopped working for me in chrome back in March. So I just installed Brave and been using that since. Yeah, Firefox is an option but Brave is similar enough to Chrome that I don't notice the difference.

4chan is literally unusable without 4chanx, I truly don't understand how anyone can use it without it now. Gookmoot is too cheap to just integrate all the features it brings into 4chan itself, and especially after they've been exposed as the cheap fucks they are when 4chan went down months ago.

all ur downloaded extensions are stored locally (duh) at %localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions
so just find its id through chrome://extensions, copy it somewhere safe and then load it unpacked through dev mode. simply as. its what i do with every extension now because those morons add paywalls or update and change everything. at least this way you have freedom.

Overall Mozilla is pretty solid. My biggest complaint is for a while they were really far behind in HTML5 compliance. So many Javascript controls were(and are) used because Mozilla didn't support their HTML5 equivalents.

I switched to FF the first time jewgle threatened to ban uBlock. It's trivially easy these days to switch, you just download the installer and then click like 3 buttons to merge over all your passwords and bookmarks.
