Yes, I agree. Warframe is very generous with how you can grind for almost anything in the game. Like 99.9% of the skins/outfits can be purchased with platinum which you can pretty reliably grind for at the moment.

TFD does dole out some free color shaders for your armor and hair semi regularly and I hope they eventually let you grind for some of the skins in a similar way that Warframe does it. I play Warframe too, I have an MR30 account in Warframe and MR22 account in TFD.

you could be poor as fuck and still have all the "premium" shit in Warframe, and I think it's at a reasonable pace too. You don't really have to slaveishly grind for that 1 item you want (at the moment). It's been slow but things have gotten better. Not perfect mind you, but better. It's easier to grind for things, new player experience is better from what I've read, etc. Season 3 is pretty much the make or break moment I think. All of what they've talked about and shown looks good but we'll have to wait and see if they can deliver.

If you do them as they are unlocked you get a proper battle. If you are overleveled and overgeared, they'll die in 5 seconds. Ice Maiden Challenge is still undoable for me.

I remember not too long ago in order to open up amorphous materials you had to grind for another resource (just to open another resource you also farmed). I might have given up on the game over that autistic multi-layered farming garbage but in the next update they completely removed that all shit from the game . The thing is, Warframe SHOULD be a proof of concept to a lot of other dev studios and publishers.... but it's not, for whatever reason.

Half the content in Warframe is the skins, so making nearly all of them available through playing the game was a master class level winning move by Digital Extremes. Most people probably buy 1 or 2 (or maybe more) skins and then grind out the ones they think look cool but they wouldn't necessarily buy with money. That is how the longevity of Warframe is secured.
