Are there any therapeutic games that help you cope with the fact you're growing old?

The games we played along the way. Be happy you’re not a zoomer who gets like 1 good game a year. Millennials and Gen x got to see the golden age of vidya

Nope. Cope with having your penis surgically removed after being on meds since age 6 made you think it was a smart move? Plenty.

Bought this game a week ago, never played Diablo or ARPG in my life.

Servers seem dead and I get unplayable lag online; is singleplayer a worth-it experience?

They can, but the zeitgeist isn’t the same. They didn’t have year long buildups of vidya magazines and demo discs with back to back classics coming out after years of trailers and hype. They have to deal with current day internet, which is ass.

I saw a documentary at the dentist where lions leave an old lion behind to get eaten by hyenas. Somebody should make a game about it. Stage 1: Run with a couple of other lions and just barely beat large pack of hyenas. Stage 2: Another close one. Stage 3: Even closer. Stage 4: The end; peace from this hyena-filled hell.

I'm a 06 Zoomer, I play 'older' games. Mind you, 'older' for me is anything made before 2013.
I like the old stuff, it's really fun. Rarely I enjoy new titles but I also don't have a good frame of reference to say 'old is gold' since I don't play new titles often anyway.

Even with Multiplayer games, old games with oldfag playerbases are way more chill than new games.

I'm under the impression that older games are in fact better.

Yeah I'd consider anything before 2016 old. I mean that's nearly a decade now

My brother is 24 and he loves millennial classics. I’m sure he’s a bit bias because he’s my little brother, but he’ll randomly find an “old” series and he’s blown away by how much more detail is put into certain things that go to the wayside in current day vidya. He finally played mgs 1-3 and spent an hour talking to me about all the random bits of technology he stumbled on.

Well, If we're extending it to before 2016, older is definitely better.
Bloodborne is a recent favourite of mine.

I've found comfort in playing Maplestory as a destressing tool, OpenRCT2 with a focus on decoration as a mental exercise, and Under Night 2 as a quick-thinking game.
Maplestory is great because it has calming music, beautiful art, and gameplay that is only as engaging as you want it to be making it essentially a digital fidget spinner to help decompress.
OpenRCT2 is great on its own, but also making a beautiful park requires planning and thoughtful placement, which helps remind me to keep an open mind about stuff and to look at the big picture of things.
Although my reactions aren't as fast as they used to be, Uni2 is still a fun game because you can make up the twitch reactions with foresight and knowledge checks. It helps keep my mind out of the fog like I'm doing math exercises and both winning and losing a match is fun.

Only makes me feel worse for them in some cases. Imagine playing Warcraft 3 after like, 2009, and thinking you're getting the golden age experience people playing it in 2004 did. Just being able to play a game doesn't mean you're able to fully enjoy it, unfortunately.
