Whats the point of fighting for a world that everyone tells you is doomed and is teetering on the edge of destruction?

Thats every Souls game and honestly its tiring and no longer a quirky novelty. In DeS some morally bankrupt king derives power from the energy if demons who overwhelm the world and you can either fix things temporarily or fuck it further. In Dark Souls the eternal cycle of light and dark is causing everything to decay until eventually it ends up a sunless wasteland. In Bloodborne the Old Ones fuck everything and the Beast Plague is everywhere. In Elden Ring the world is the playground for morally bankrupt gods and goddeses who serve even more powerful deities. Im not asking for some Narnia levels of happy ending but Jesus Christ these nihilistic, misanthropic, irony poisoned storylines are boring now.

I like these games a lot, but when it comes to story and setting, they're all almost identical, in that sense I guess Miyazaki is kind of a one trick pony. Duskbloods also looks like it's going to be yet another dying world that the main character has to save (not really because something something cycles).

>Im not asking for some Narnia levels of happy ending
DaS2 ended on a pretty hopeful note, the True Crown was the key to free humanity from the curse, but then comes DaS3 and everything is fucked up again.

Theres zero point. Miyazaki made zero good games besides Sekiro, the one with an actual decent story

Maybe it's about time we did get to have a game like that instead of edgelord spam.

>Nooo you can't give fans what they want
People buy from software games because they want from software games.

The True Crown makes no sense, the real salvation is becoming Lord of Hollows.
