Honestly I'm fine with a more action-focused gameplay but the problem is they remove everything to accommodate the casuals

the turn based games are good INSPITE of being turn based. you slog through the shitty turnbased combat to get to the rest of the game.
For example I'm playing FF7 right now. the world and plot is charming as fuck. encountering new things, exploring, customising materia, collecting enemy skills is fun as fuck.
but the actual turn based combat is shit. there's no challenge, it's not fun.
you just spam Magic Mantra then Beta and that will get you through the first half of the game without even trying.

they really fucked up 7R it's cringe compilation fanfic shit and the game play is boring walking simulator padding slop.
