>they just tell me "you're supposed to le turn your brain off bro!!" likes its some marvel movie

I had a very similar experience.
I don't even mind the stage design that much, it's got some decent sections sometimes (although you should set the speed to Turbo to get some challenge out of it), but almost every boss has a move which has it push into you all of a sudden and instakill you if you weren't expecting it or didn't move away fast enough. That's some annoying bullshit.
Crimzon Clover gets much closer to my idea of the best shmup ever.

The people who like Tyrian don't actually like shooting games. They haven't played any other games in the genre and if they did they'd say they suck.

I wouldn't exactly call Tyrian well-balanced (since there's definitely right and wrong weapon choices), but it's charming as hell with its graphics and music. It is also the only mouse control shmup I was aware of for the longest time. And the coop mode where you have 2 ships that can dock on each other is really neat.

Is this a bot thread or am autist thread?
