Anyway, I liked FF16 initially but they killed or sidelined all the characters I liked pretty early on. So I wouldn't bother. Haven't played KCD2

KCD2 is very, very good.

Looks fantastic, runs really well, story is engaging, characters well written, side content also fun. Lots to do, nothing in the game felt like filler. My main criticism of it is that if you played the first one, it can be a bit too easy at times once you master the combat. But it's really, really good.

I even played the newest DLC because in my naivety I pre-ordered the gold edition because I liked the first one so much which I had only played in October of last year. I havent played KC2, but i have played the first game and it is an immersive sim, pretty good imo.
FFXVI is an action game, i liked it but it has flaws.

Both games are different. That depends on what you are looking for.
