Multiple reasons, the main one being the direction the game was headed when I stopped, which was S13. The game became too boring, items didn't matter anymore, no more actives, no more carrying games solo.

I peaked high Masters and usually carried games by playing tank Twisted Fate, but my playstyle became worse and worse since they kept changing runes and items, so the game wasn't fun anymore for me.

I still SORTA play, but compared to the money I've dropped on this game and time I used to put in? Night and day.

Monetization (gacha), the lore time getting repeatedly fired, Shyvana rework getting iceboxed...there's a lot of shit to bitch about. The only good thing's the girls.

i've played now since 2020 lockdown and literally only play ARAM with friends. i'm ass at the game, auto-pick runes, only use flash and snowball, and don't really understand the game's deeper mechanics but it's fun to play a few rounds now and then. somehow i have a positive win rate and a bunch of grandmaster and challenger tokens on ARAM, which tells me a large majority of the player base are horrifically bad.
