Some games on Steam just launch without starting Steam when you double-click the executable. Some braindead idiot is going to call me a liar so here's one example. The fact that it works without Steam isn't even a bug; it's a feature. The game detects that Steam isn't running, but just displays a warning about not having cloud saves or whatever and then works anyway. This is Linux but I'm not restarting my computer just to verify that it behaves the same way on Windows. If this is only a Linux thing then let me know so I can laugh about it.

What's wrong with right-clicking the tray icon and selecting Exit Steam? That completely stops all Steam processes on my machine.
Clicking "Steam" and then "Exit" from the menu bar on the main Steam window should also completely shut it down if your computer isn't broken.

This philosophy is why software sucks today despite it running on hardware thats 1000x stronger than what the better software was running on 20 years ago. I have never had any issues with Windows, Steam or now Linux. I think people are just retarded and blame software instead of themselves.
I've switched to Linux because I wanted to try it out and have found to like it more. I think Win11 is a decent OS and people are exaggerating how bad it is. It could use a few fixes under the hood and not fucking use react for UI elements but otherwise it's a reliable system.
