This shit gives me the same exact feeling as playing a moba >die, feel guilty for failing my teammates >teammate dies, rage at my retard teammates >get to boss where there's a 80% chance we're gonna get buttfucked instantly
I loved Elden Ring but this shit just ain't for me

It really is. >accidentally start Night-Adel solo >win anyway
I wish there was a better way to get relics, though. Spending some large amount of currency to replace one or two slots would be a godsend and let me try out relics that aren't the premade ones you get from the shops and stories.
It really is, it's like they decided to make my perfect game. All I wanna do is play Fortnite with the boys and fight Dark Soups bosses, and it's entirely those two things.

I feel the whole relic system needs a bit of a redesign. Would be cooler if the classes had talent trees more like the ones in sekiro, and you use relics to unlock traits and abilities. At the very least the relic menu needs some quality of life features soon.
>>715279091 >Everdark Adel
I was surprised at how I found him more difficult compared to his normal version, especially compared to Everdark Folghor.
Now I get the feeling that Everdark Galdius will have each wolf have a sword from the nightlord, since they are 3 wolves, and the nightlord has 3 swords on him
Idk. I've been playing solo for like 6 hours and I don't really find it fun trying to learn routes via trial and error. I'll keep trying for a while longer though.

What bugs me more is how limited the filtering for relics you own is. Can't filter for a specific effect, only broad categories that leave you digging through hundreds of relics to maybe find one with the effect you wanted.

You still get most of the same reward for failure during the nightlord fight as you do winning, so it's not even a huge deal to lose unless you're after a specific goal. >t. had a 10-loss streak while trying to do recluse remembrances

I have done jolly cooperation with no-mic no-text randoms in every Souls game on PC since DS1. Why should having friends matter for this one? Part of the fun is hoping to roll into a competent team. >help Recluses get into Rises and give them good staves >Ping and drop weapons for other classes when my drops aren't good >sometimes, people return these favors to me
Nothing feels better than being gifted a Carian Queen staff when your're a caster.

It's certainly not required to have played ER, but you're going to have a bit more of a learning curve on non-main bosses than people who have played ER (since most of the bosses in NR are straight out of ER).
I wouldn't let that stop you if you've played and enjoyed Souls games and/or roguelikes.
>>715287230 >"I must kill the Nightlord!"shouted Wylder > The iron Menial said "No, Wylder. You are the Nightlord." >And then Wylder was the Nightlord
Wylder not overcoming his trauma of losing his clan makes it feel believable at least how his ending went. What weird is that Duchess's remembrance feels like it leads into a different ending as well, a bittersweet yet a hopeful one.
This kinda makes me cope hard that she will have her ending locked behind Everdark Nightlord.

Her remembrance would follow the standard ending. An extra scene for closure would be nice, but knowing fromsoft I don't expect to get one.
>>715294026
Yeah, I agree unfortunately.
I would have liked something like showing the iron menial approaching a collapsed Wylder as an extra scene following the standard ending, but oh well. Well, at least her remembrance ending implies something like that will happen.
