>>715292321>I'm curious what your definition of "maturity" is now.The opposite of being childish. Holding yourself accountable for your statements, responsible for your actions, when acting in a group making choices that favor the group over your own selfishness. (i.e. what attractions to see, or what places to eat) Knowing how to read the room/mood and how to respond appropriately. Having enough empathy to realize that you might be unjustifiably taking your resentment out on the wrong person (i.e. you ordered something online, you got the wrong thing, you go to one of the physical stores of the company and scream at the employee even though he had no hand in delivering your order.)
Try doing a trip with 4-5 people to a foreign country and you will very quickly start noticing which of your friends have "maturity" and which don't.
>>715292687I'm not sure I get your point, are you saying there are no mature people in existence? The folk I mentioned don't call themselves mature, that's just how I classify them internally based on their behavior. And it's exactly because they didn't start screaming like toddlers when things didn't go their way, that I consider them mature.
