What it's like being a poor?
freelancer mode is still boring as fuck even with the any target mod

I know plenty of people who are on roughly the same as I am (top 15% earnings in Western European country) and they do live paycheck to paycheck
I know several who get a new car every year on a loan and it's retarded. I know some who are gambling or drug addicts.

My point is that you are a poor if you cannot afford to spend what like 250 or something over 8 years on video games

I can buy this for $15, should I pull the trigger if I like dishonored, deus ex (ghost) and classic hitman games (I played them like 15 years ago)?
Talking about the standard edition of course.
Also heard the game has a roguelite mode

these new Hitman games are kinda crap.
graphics are ok and some of the maps are alright but the gameplay sucks, the NPC AI sucks, the story sucks, the always online shit sucks, the constant reusing of the maps sucks (who the fuck wants to play the same map 50 billion times?)

Worth it just for the main campaign.
Freelancer is fun IF you already have a decent working knowledge of the levels from playing through the campaign a few times, and you're okay with adjusting plans on the fly and getting by with 'good enough' results. New players who jump straight into Freelancer will just get bodied hard. But even with mods to spice it up, it will get boring after a while.

On the one hand, you don't really need armour or healing with the regenerating health in WoA.
On the other hand, regenerating health makes combat too easy if you fail to use stealth correctly.
I do miss weapon customisation and the various gadgets 47 could bring with him by default in Blood Money, versus the locked down loadouts in WoA.

It does disconnect at times or if you pause it too long but it works great and unlocks everything. It's not worth paying for WoA due to this BS.

Where do i start if I want to get into this series?

Do the old ones hold up well? And which ones do i avoid? I heard the 7th gen games were bad.
Anonymous No.715298663
>>715298351
Skip the first one
You can get a demo of SA, contracts or BM from what I remembner on PC
Absolution is hit or miss. I like it but many hate it. I like it for the assassination levels but hate the non assassination levels so would avoid it if I were you

You can just skip into the new Hitman WOA if you want. It's just that it's the easiest in the series so going back to play the old ones might be difficult for you if you get it first. That said, the old ones are janky as fuck.

there's a story but you ignore it and just play World of Assination because you won't like the older games
Anonymous No.715298864 >>715301489

Blood Money is a good start, although Silent Assassin is good too.
Personally I like contracts better.

>Do the old ones hold up well?
They don't run well at framerates above 60FPS, so use something like MSI afterburner to lock it or the game will break, you might have to install a widescreen patch for anything older than Blood Money
>And which ones do i avoid?
Codename 47 is pretty rough, but you might enjoy it if you still want more after playing all the other games.
Absolution isn't great but not as terrible as it's made out to be.

Anonymous No.715306569 >>715308250

Probably not, given how many potential targets there are, but unless you got unlucky with prestige objectives in a hardcore run, I wouldn't worry about SA in Freelancer.

I think the optional objectives are supposed to force variety in player tactics, but players also learn to ignore them because you're so hamstrung for equipment options during the early game.
