loved pacific rift but the last few races broke me. apocalypse was fun and improved a couple of things but it's just too short.
also when are they going to fix the fucking car having a seizure in the first game on rpcs3?

I played Pacific rift earlier this year and know exactly what you're talking about
The AI is such bullshit, no matter what car you use no matter what route you take no matter how good you are at the game the best you will do is 2nd
The AI drives dirty too, I know it's kinda sorta combat racing esque but they will prioritize fucking you up rather than getting ahead

the best you can do is to find the fastest route but yeah, right near the finish line it's a coin toss. the AI either lets you win or doesn't let you even get close.
A lot of the secret to pacific rift is know what the fastest route is - many of them aren't even ones the game suggests your class of vehicle should take. That said that sugar rush roof shortcut is bullshit to pull off.
GT3 is still my favourite of the series. It may not have the most cars and tracks, but I enjoy its controls, visual style, and music the most. https://youtu.be/TlxFWFo1IwQ

Very late into the campaign there is this one race where you're forced into a shitplugger vs. 7 other shitpluggers and it's literally impossible to clear as 1st.
