How come people like these keeping failing upwards and getting hired over and over again on different AAA games despite being HUGE brand risks?

Is SAG somehow that powerful of a union they can just force developers to hire their "talent" like this on everything despite them clearly being retarded and open to just stain your entire franchise and roles you give them for online attention?

the elites that pay for everything either want to push nonsense they believe in or they are intentionally making things worse to distract us from the dumb shit they are doing to continue being the rich elite.

I can't wrap my head around being so proud about voicing a character that single handedly killed the franchise you were participating in

Corporate workers don't give a shit if the product turns people off. They are not invested in the success or failure of products that they work on some minute element of for years (and are likely fired at the end either way).

Yes. Over 99% of charity donations go to scam charities that spend less than 5% on their stated goal, with the rest going to pay the CEO. If you are donating to mega charities that don't transparently help people, you are indeed doing something bad. You should be donating to small local charities that have tangible effects. A local food pantry will feed people. Local doctors often accept donations to help people who needed it. A nationwide megacharity with a CEO and a vague goal of "helping trans people" embezzles all of the money and helps nobody.

this. i worked for habitat for humanity for a while and donations to the affiliate (think local franchise) went further than donations to the parent organization. the parent would spend money figuring out who to give it to and often subsidize overseas trips for people to fly halfway across the world to volunteer. donations direcrly to the affiliate went to hiring more contractors to do the jobs that volunteers could do but were slow at and meant more houses were built and sold at 30-40% market price with 0% interest mortgages to working families.

Yeah, but pretending that nobody notices is just cope at this point. We're long past the era where VAs were nameless background noise - people argue over castings the second they're announced now. It's not just a handful of schizos on resetera or here, the discourse leaks into casual circles too. You don’t need to know the VA's name to feel when the performance is totally mismatched, cringe, or loaded with baggage from their Twitter persona. And devs KNOW this, they’re just hoping you’ll forget between announcement and release.

why bother paying extra for more professional vas when you're already paying pr firms to muddy up all possible negative discourse anyway?
